French writer, poet, dramatist, visual artist, essayist, actor and theatre director, Antonin Artaud, is widely recognized as one of the major figures of the European avant-garde. In particular, he had a profound influence on C20 theatre, through his conceptualization of the Theatre Of Cruelty. Known for his raw, surreal and transgressive work, his texts explored themes from the cosmologies of ancient cultures, philosophy, the occult, mysticism, and indigenous Mexican and Balinese practices.

Having spent much of his final years in various mental asylums, Artaud resurfaced in 1947 with a radio play To Have Done With the Judgment of god. Although the work remained true to his Theatre of Cruelty, utilizing an array of unsettling sounds, cries, screams and grunts, it was shelved by French Radio the day before it was scheduled to air, on February 2, 1948. Artaud died one month later.

These tracks use recordings from that radio play and were A.I assisted in composition with further processing and manipulation.
